This month we are featuring the January 2022 Kisses & Hugs Kit. The Kisses & Hugs kit is perfect for all things love, Valentines day, weddings, anniversaries, etc. If you would like to make the kit contents as shown there are enough supplies to make 10 cards 5 of 2 designs.
This month I added a few supplies from my stash to the kit contents to create this fun Valentine's Day alternative card.
Here are the supplies you will need from your stash:
- Flirty Flamingo Card Base: 4 1/4" x 11 folded in half
- Real Red cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" Embossed with the Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder
- Basic White cardstock: 2" x 5" and 3 3/4" x 5" for inside layer
- Flirty Flamingo Metallic Ribbon
- Flirty Flamingo and Real Red Stampin' ink pads
- Create with Friends stamp set
- Blending Brush
From the Kisses & Hugs Kit:
- Adhesive sequins
- 1 white heart die cut
- Stamp Set
Directions:
Blend Real Red ink with blending brush onto the white heart. Stamp "love" and "you" from the Create with Friends stamp set. The front panel is stamped with the solid heart from the Kisses & Hugs stamp set using Flirty Flamingo full strength and stamped off (or first and second generation stamping) it is also stamped with Real Red ink (stamped off/second generation stamping).
The inside layer is stamped with the solid heart in Flirty Flamingo ink and the outline heart with Real Red ink.
Emboss Real Red layer with Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder.
Attach layers with Stampin' seal. The Flirty Flamingo metallic ribbon is attached to the Real Red embossed layer after the stamped heart panel. The red panel is then attached to the card front.
Attach the heart die cut with dimensionals.
Sprinkle 5-7 adhesive sequins from the kit onto the card front.
