Stampin' Up! is celebrating their 35th Anniversary this year! It's is my 5th year as a demonstrator and I have been a customer since 1997. I remember the first time I ever saw a Stampin' Up! catalog, I was at a MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers) meeting and a gal at my table started passing around a catalog. It was something so new and I loved all the ideas. I didn't want to give the catalog back and wanted to get my own. Lol! After hosting a party I finally got a catalog and was hooked. We are all demonstrators that are in the Stampers with Art Stars team. The Layering Leaves stamp set has versatile phrases and sentiments as well as crisp clear images, including, 2-step stamping to fill in the leaves on the branches. Another bonus is that this set pairs with the bough punch!
Criss Cross Fun Fold Card
I have a fun fold card for you today. I love the colors in the Masterfully Made DSP and thought it would pair well with the Layered Leaves stamp set. I was inspired by Karen Ksenzakovic and they way she cut the paper to create the vertical card. I hope this design inspires you to try out this fold.
This card uses one 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of Pretty Peacock cardstock.
On the portrait side score at 4 1/4." On the landscape side score at 5 1/2." Trim the sections away as shown below.
Lost Lagoon cardstock 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" and cut diagonally top right to bottom left.
Masterfully Made DSP 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" and cut diagonally top left to bottom right. Punch 2 leaf images from the bough punch.
*If your paper is directional then watch which angle you cut on the diagonal. See the images below for reference.
Circles are die cut from the Stylish Shapes die set from Basic White and Berry Burst cardstock.
Leaves are stamped on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock with Lemon Lime Twist ink and punched out with the bough punch. It is also stamped on the inside white layer.
The berry sprig is stamped with Berry Burst ink on Berry Burst cardstock and punched out with the bough punch. It is also stamped on the inside white layer.
The dots/sprinkle image is stamped on the Lost Lagoon layer in Lost Lagoon ink.
