PPX Crew Monthly Blog Hop - Lots of Pun December 2021 Paper Pumpkin alternate project

Happy New Year!! Welcome to the PPX CREW January 2022 Blog Hop! Every month we provide exclusive video projects that feature the current Paper Pumpkin kit to our subscribers. As an extra bonus we also have a monthly blog hop that features alternative projects that we have created using the current kit.

To learn more about Paper Pumpkin and to subscribe please click the shop button at the top of the screen.

At the bottom of the post you will find the links to visit the rest of my friends on the blog hop. We hope you are inspired to create an alternate project or two with your December 2021 "Lots of Pun" Paper Pumpkin kit.

This month I created a fun middle fold card with just a few supplies from the Lots of Pun kit and then I added some extra  Stampin' Up! supplies from my stash.

This fun fold card is one of my favorite go to cards to make. The card base is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored on the landscape side at 4 1/4." Using the paper trimmer cut 1 1/4" to the fold line on each side of the front of the card base creating the middle flap. Adhere the 1 1/4" flaps to the card base with Stampin' Seal. Score the middle flap at 2 1/8" and fold. (see photos for reference)

From the "Lots of Pun" kit stamp 2 of the banana die cuts with the early espresso ink spot. Attach the bananas to the die cut pool party plaid printed circle and the smaller vellum circle to middle flap with dimensionals. Embellish with yellow enamel dots.
Stamp sentiment on one of the longer speech bubble die cuts. Trim the speech bubble so it is one solid shape and the speech/comma is removed. Attach to card base with dimensionals.
Trim daffodil delight/striped envelope and cut (2) 1" x 4" strips. Attach to card base with Stampin' Seal.

The Kisses and Hugs Paper Pumpkin kit was created to be shared! While heart-shaped cards might make you think of Valentine’s Day, Kisses & Hugs goes beyond that single day in February. Let your customers know that they can use this kit for many love occasions like weddings, anniversaries, or even those “just because” days. And with universal sentiments like “Friend” and “For You,” this kit can perfectly celebrate cherished friendships, too!

Plus Stampin' Up! is offering the Kisses & Hugs Mini Treat Boxes (item 160147) as an exciting add-on to this month’s kit! This is a chance to create stylish treat boxes to match the heart-shaped cards in the kit. While these boxes are small, they make a big impact that shines with gold foil printing. The Kisses & Hugs Mini Treat Boxes are sold separately starting 25 January and only available while supplies last, so don’t wait too long to snag them!
